Bidford Tennis Club    15th August 2009   Dear Members   Further to our previous notice regarding access to the courts -please note that our contractor has now finished installing the gate and we are sure that you will agree that it will be a vast improvement to our security!   Please note that the new key is available through the Texaco Garage and proof of membership -through your membership card-  will be essential and that you must leave your card and collect it when you return the key. Should other players access the courts whilst your card is held as "key holder" please ensure that they have shoe tags and are members and that they will be responsible for locking up if you leave before they do!   Please note that you may purchase your own key with a key holder bond of £15,  refundable if you do not rejoin at a future date. Please advise  you wish to take up this option as we will place the order for keys at one time. An order slip is attached for you to print off and return.   The Bowling Club is now accessible through the side gate (open at all times),  but please note that we are welcome as seniors when it is open including in the evenings when the bar is open to their members. It has its own security system  and  so it may not be accessible at all other times except when we host matches and/or we have made arrangements to have access to the premises. We will be advising you of arrangements for the Autumn.    We would ask you to remind those of you who have family memberships,  that juniors will still be required to use our own club house only  when required and that the key for the club house will be available to them as before - also through the Texaco Garage. They will not be allowed to access the Bowling Club grounds at any time unless accompanied by their parent/guardian or responsible adult.   We are currently working on a variety of new ideas to improve social tennis and will be advising you of these for the Autumn. 8th May 2009 Dear Members Thank you to all members who have renewed their memberships promptly and a reminder to all those who haven't  -Bidford Tennis Club is on your doorstep and always a friendly club for you to run around,  have fun and keep fit and we have frozen our fees for this year!! So keep those entries coming in.  The Wimbledon Draw dates will be announced shortly and will apply to current members who signed up to BTM buy last year's deadline of 30th November. Some of you have had trouble downloading the forms or they have vanished into the ether so please let me know if you need me to resend the forms. You can always download the form from our website at: www.bidfordtennisclub.net. I have attached the announcement for our club championships. Entry forms are being finalized as I write this and will also be uploaded onto our website and I will email them out to the current membership. I am also pleased to let you know that "Essential Sports" in Stratford upon Avon is happy to give BTC members a 10% discount on sports gear when you take along your membership card! I am pleased to inform you that the Club Management Committee has ruled that there will be no increase in subscriptions year in view of the recession. However, in order to keep our running costs manageable, we would appreciate it if you would print off and return the form with payment a by Monday 27th April 2009 and indicate if you wish to receive news and updates via email. (If you prefer not to have your contact number listed on the Club Membership list please let me know.) Your new club membership card(s), shoe-tag(s) and also the new number for the security lock to gain entrance to the courts will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your subscription. I would like to remind all members to wear their new shoe-tags at all times as they show that you are members of the club and it is now a requirement! You may be asked to vacate the court if you do not have your shoe tag. If you signed up to BTM* by the end of November 2008 your name will be entered in the Wimbledon ticket draw.  The date the draw will take place will be announced in due course and I will advise you in advance. Bidford Tennis Club 3/08/09 Dear Members You may already be aware that the Bidford Tennis Club Management Committee has arranged for new security gate to be fitted. This is currently underway and our contractor is proposing to finish the installation towards the end of this week although we are not 100% sure of the completion time bearing in mind the weather etc! Therefore please note that you may have to access the courts via the key that will be held at the Texaco Garage. In order to attain the key you must present your Bidford Tennis Club Membership Card or failing that show your key/shoe tag as this will provide proof of membership and THE KEY MUST BE RETURNED  WHEN YOU LEAVE THE COURTS. Once we have established the new entry requirements I will contact you with details of how to apply for an individual key should you wish to take up this option. Staff at the Texaco Garage will be briefed on the correct procedures to ensure that non-members do not have access to the courts unless they are guests of another member when a guest fee will be payable.
