Not all of you have renewed to date so I am taking the liberty of emailing you all this notice even though some of you have not rejoined and may have moved to new pastures. Please bear with me as I will have a true list of our membership in due course. As soon as we have received your subscriptions we will post a new Social Tennis Rota for Thursday nights that will revert to the summer format.   I would also like to let you know that the Club Management Committee is currently looking at ways of improving our facilities and we are either hoping to negotiate use of our neighbors' - the Bowling Club's facilities or alternatively at improvements to our clubhouse that has tried its best to shelter us from the elements for some considerable years!

Monday night is Junior Night. Social tennis takes place once a month with alternate Mondays held once a month for girls and then boys with Anne and Malcolm Dewsbury. On remaining Mondays, juniors may play singles if the courts are not busy or doubles if numbers permit. Junior visitors pay £1 -money should be put in an envelope through the letterbox at 11, Glebe Close or 14 Dugdale Avenue Bidford. Please sign the visitor’s log in clubhouse. Tuesday mornings 9am Ladies Social Tennis. Please come along and join in. A good opportunity to introduce new members who can join in for a taster. Adult visitors pay £3 -money should be put in an envelope through the letterbox at 11, Glebe Close or 14 Dugdale Avenue Bidford. Please sign the visitor’s log in clubhouse. Club matches are held some Tuesdays and Wednesday evenings - check planner on the Clubhouse notice board. If the courts are free, you can usually play. This applies to both juniors and seniors. Thursday afternoon is Junior Professional Coaching from 4pm-7pm with Dave Rudge. There are 4 coaching sessions. If junior members wish to enrol for professional coaching sessions, please see Anne Dewsbury (Social Tennis & Coaching) or Natalie Green ( Juniors Secretary). Thursday night is Senior Night 7.15pm onwards. A rota ensures that there is always someone to play with (weather permitting)!  The rota consists of four players with “Player 1” nominated “organiser”. The organiser is to decide whether to cancel due to bad weather. If a player is down to play and cannot make it on the day, they can find a replacement on the reserve list. Players are asked to mix in when other members arrive. Winter Ladies/Men’s Team Matches are held some Saturday & Sunday mornings 10am onwards when at home. Please check wall planner. Summer A, B, C Teams play @ 6.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday night is available for new members social tennis or coaching. Club tournaments are held before the summer break and a juniors round robin is held during the summer holidays .
